Everything Expo does while you are talking
It is one app with three jobs. Keep the record, answer questions about it, and hand you the write-up at the end.
The record
Expo transcribes the system audio you let it read, speaker by speaker, while the call runs. The dock on screen shows the clock and the capture light so nobody has to ask what is running.
The answers
Put a question to the call itself and get a short answer back, drawn from the transcript and pinned to the minute it came from. When the call has not covered it, Expo says so.
The write-up
End the session and the notes are already written. Overview, decisions, key points, action items with owners, and the questions nobody answered.

It only answers from what was said
Every answer points back at the minute of the transcript it came from. If the call has not covered it, Expo tells you the context is thin instead of making something up.
Overlays that stay out of the way
A launcher, a small dock and a response window that float above your call without stealing focus or sitting on top of the person you are talking to.
Local first, on purpose
Sessions are written to your machine before anything else happens. No telemetry on what was said, no raw audio kept, and no quiet recording in the background.
Notes with sections, not a transcript dump
Overview, decisions, key points, action items with owners and dates, open questions, follow-ups. Each one where you expect to find it.
Pause whenever you want
Anyone at the machine can stop capture mid call with one click and start it again after. The gap shows up in the transcript rather than being hidden.
History you can actually search
Old sessions keep their transcripts and their notes, so a decision from six weeks ago takes a search rather than an afternoon.
The things Expo will not do
Worth stating plainly, because most tools in this category do at least one of them.
The things people ask before installing it
Mostly about who can hear what, and whether anyone else finds out it is running.
No. It runs on your machine and reads system audio you have given it permission to read. Nothing shows up in the participant list and nobody gets an invite from us. If you can hear the call, Expo can follow it.
