About the role

The backend is a NestJS modular monolith with Postgres as the source of truth, RabbitMQ for events and jobs, and Redis for the fast temporary state. You will be working across most of it.

What you will do

  • Own the session and transcript modules end to end.
  • Keep the websocket gateway honest when clients drop and reconnect.
  • Make the event flow reliable, including what happens to rejected messages.
  • Keep domain code independent of the broker, the cache and the AI vendor.

What we are looking for

  • Strong TypeScript, and real experience with Postgres under load.
  • You have run a queue in production and know how it fails.
  • You write the test before you are asked to.
  • Opinions about transactional boundaries are welcome.
